The album was recorded the project in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Whatever happens in the studio, it will sound better live, guitarist Serge Pizzorno said during the recording process. "I just want people to come away from it going 'Yep, great album. It's different, I love it. Let's go and see 'em live. Thank you'."
