VIDEO: Lou Reed & Metallica interviewed on Norwegian TV

The promotion machine continues to roll for Lou Reed and Metallica, as they talk to the press about their forthcoming release, “Lulu,” due next week.

Lou, along with Lars and James from Metallica, sat down for an interview with the Norwegian TV show, "Lydverket."

Lars explains how the project was introduced to the metal band.

“Literally, it was [because] he asked,” began Ulrich. “Lou says, ‘Let’s make a record with Lou.’ OK, cool. The problem is people don’t ask us very much; I mean, we don’t go out and look for it; we don’t put an ad in the paper – ‘Rock band looking for otherworldly experiences.’ But when they come to us, great, sounds awesome.”

“It needed the spine of Metallica,”
added Reed. “It needed the balls of Metallica.”

“Lulu” comes out October 31 everywhere…except North America, where it’ll be available November 1.
