VIDEO: Scott Weiland – Winter Wonderland

Stone Temple Pilots' frontman Scott Weiland is virtually unrecognizable in his new video for the holiday classic, “Winter Wonderland.”

The track is from Weiland’s Christmas release, “The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year,” which features Xmas standards in a variety of styles, including big band swing, orchestrated ballads, reggae, bossa nova and more.

Not only does the visual throw you, as Scott sports a look right out of Leave It To Beaver-era middle America, but there’s something about his voice – it’s almost as if he’s singing the song sarcastically.

This is about as far away from STP as you can get, obviously, but wow…it’s a head-scratcher.

Thankfully, the singer recently told Billboard that he expects an STP album to be on the way in 2012, so we’ll look forward to that, while you check out a Weiland Wonderland…
