James Durbin married longtime girlfriend Heidi Lowe on New Year’s Eve.
The couple made it official in front of 85 guests – including their 2-year-old son, Hunter, who served as ring bearer – in a chapel at the edge of a redwood forest in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
While guests included some of James' fellow American Idol Season 10 contestants, one of them was a surprise: Queensrÿche singer Geoff Tate.
Tate joined Durbin for a performance of the 1984 Queensryche classic "Take Hold of the Flame" – one of the newlywed’s favorite tunes.
