Van Halen launched their 2012 tour Saturday in Louisville, Kentucy to rave reviews.
The 24-song set featured four tracks from the band’s new album, “A Different Kind Of Truth,” as well as a couple of songs they haven’t played live since the early 80s.
The legend of Van Halen on the road follows the band wherever they go, as the original David Lee Roth-era helped establish the California rockers as the party kings of their time.
In a new video by Roth, the singer explains his hiring of a “Recreational Director” for the band back in the day – someone to help the social scene and creatively fill the group’s post-show needs.
