The memory of what Guns N’ Roses once was continues to stir up emotions as an extended version of the original lineup will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame on Saturday.
The original unit of Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, Steven Adler and Izzy Stradlin are being joined by Matt Sorum and Dizzy Reed as official inductees under the GNR banner.
On Wednesday, Axl issued a statement declining his induction with the group, while also confirming that he will not be attending the event.
At about the same time as Rose’s statement was posted online, former GNR drummer was sitting down with Noisecreep to talk about his thoughts on the Rock Hall ceremony, prior to his departure for Cleveland.
“People around the world come up to me and say that they wanna see the five guys together,” says Adler. “I was hoping to end my part of the legacy with GNR by performing with the five guys again…and not just for me, but for the world.”
