VIDEO: Queen rock American Idol

Queen were on hand to bring some rock to American Idol Wednesday night.

The band’s Brian May and Roger Taylor opened the show by performing a medley of Queen classics with the top 6 Idol contestants.

The group ripped through abbreviated versions of “Fat Bottomed Girls,” “Another One Bites The Dust,” “We Will Rock You” and “We Are The Champions.”

Each of the Idol hopefuls also sang a Queen track during the first hour of the show.

On Thursday, Queen’s official tribute band, The Queen Extravaganza, will perform the group’s classic smash hit “Somebody To Love” on the weekly results program.
