Aerosmith: Joe Perry talks about his upcoming autobiography

Aerosmith recently wrapped up their summer Global Warming tour and are now working towards the November 6th release of their new album, “Music From Another Dimension.”

“We got a whole bunch of things lined up for the fall,” said guitarist Brad Whitford. “Special television appearances and more concerts in October and November…probably even into December. We’ll be continuing this tour and probably wrapping it up sometime before the holidays.”

“Anyday dates for 2nd leg will be announced,” tweeted guitarist Joe Perry last week. “Also one or two new tunes from new Album.”

Perry also has another project on the go: his autobiography.

“I expect there will be a fair amount about me and Steven [Tyler], considering I’ve spent a good part of my life with him and three other guys,” Perry told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution recently. “The reality of writing it is starting to sink in, but I’m mostly wondering how much I want to put in the book and what to keep out.”

Perry’s memoir follows similar works by bandmates Tyler (2011’s “Does The Noise In My Head Bother You?”) and drummer Joey Kramer’s 2009 book “Hit Hard: A Story Of Hitting Rock Bottom At The Top.”
