VIDEO: Motley Crue bassist uses homophobic slur on stage

Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx is making headlines for a recent onstage rant.

The Crue have been touring across North America this summer as the opening act for KISS.

RadarOnline reports Sixx used the homophobic f word slur towards John Mayer and his fans during a concert in Phoenix, Arizona earlier this month.

While trying to get the crowd pumped up during his band’s set, Sixx took to the mic, saying, "Someone said to me, 'F**k, it's gonna be hot [during tonight's show]. It's gonna be too f**king hot. I said, 'F**k you, mother**ker. Those are Motley Crue fans and KISS f**king fans. They don't give a f**k! They don't give a f**k! This isn't a goddamn John Mayer f**king f****t concert, now is it? Is this a f**king Madonna concert, mother**kers? Is it Motley Crue and KISS? Hell yeah!"

The KISS/Crue tour runs to September 23 in Hartford, CT.
