VIDEO: Green Day – Kill The DJ

Green Day have released a video for “Kill The DJ,” a track from the band’s forthcoming album, “¡Uno!.”

“[Bassist] Mike [Dirnt] asked me to write a song with a four-on-the-floor rhythm,” Billie Joe Armstrong told Rolling Stone while explaining the origins of the tune.

“I'd never done it before. It's kind of like [The Clash’s] ‘Sandinista!,’ Ian Dury's ‘Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll’ and the Tom Tom Club song, ‘Genius of Love.’" We were trying to figure out how to make dance music without turning into a dance band.”

Green Day will release their trilogy of new albums – “¡Uno!,” “¡Dos!,” and “¡Tré!” - on September 25th; November 13th and January 15th, 2013, respectively.

“Oh Love,” the first single from “¡Uno!,” is out now.
