Aerosmith recently launched a new 8-part series called “The Making Of Music From Another Dimension.”
The footage presents a behind-the-scenes look as the Boston rockers create their first new album in more than a decade.
Due November 6, “Music From Another Dimension” is the band's 15th studio album.
The project was recorded in Los Angeles and at the band's studio in Massachusetts; it was produced by Jack Douglas, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, with the exception of three tracks produced by Tyler and Marti Frederiksen.
In episode four of the series, the band members talk about inspiration and the songwriting process.
“You know, it’s really important in rock and roll to come up with a groovy lick,” says Tyler, “and then lay something smooth over it.”
