Rock News Story of The Year - #5 – VAN HALEN

Van Halen’s 2012 live debut was set for early January at the Café Wha? in New York City.

The rare, intimate club event was timed to help promote the upcoming release of “Tattoo,” the first single from the then-forthcoming album, “A Different Kind Of Truth.”

The group made headlines en route to New York for the show when NBC weatherman Al Roker refused to give up his aisle seat for drummer Alex Van Halen and his wife, Stine Schyberg.
