Led Zeppelin will receive the inaugural International Lifetime Achievement Award at the Echo Awards in Berlin, Germany on March 21.
Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones will accept the award on behalf of the band; Robert Plant is unable to attend due to a scheduled concert date on the same night in Singapore.
The Echo Awards are presented by the German Phono Academy, the cultural institute of the Federal Association of Music Industry (BVMI).
For Zeppelin, the German presentation follows on the heels of the 2012 Kennedy Center Honors they received in Washington in December. The annual award is given to those in the performing arts for their lifetime of contributions to American culture.
