Soundgarden are among the list of artists scheduled to perform at President Obama’s Inauguration Ball on Monday.
The Seattle rockers will be joined at the Washington Convention Center by Alicia Keys, Black Violin, Brad Paisley, Far East Movement, FUN., members of the Glee cast, John Legend, Katy Perry, Maná, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder and Usher; the acts will perform on multiple stages.
D-Nice will DJ the event, which will be a unified celebration for Americans from across the country, bringing together members of the public, grassroots volunteers, local community leaders and supporters, various organizations, and local and state elected leaders.
Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell will be doing double-duty on Monday, as he will also perform at the Commander-in-Chief’s Ball, where President Obama and Vice President Biden will honor the brave men and women of our country’s armed forces and their families. Alicia Keys, Brad Paisley, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Hudson and Marc Anthony will perform, while Dan Moose will DJ the event.
Tickets to the Commander-in-Chief ’s Ball are being provided free of charge by the PIC to all invited guests, who include active duty and reserve military, Medal of Honor recipients, and Wounded Warriors and their spouses.
In support of their new album, “King Animal”, Soundgarden kicked off their North American tour in New York this week.
