VIDEO: Deep Purple discuss new album

Deep Purple will release their first new album in seven years this spring.

After various songwriting sessions in Europe, the band recorded and mixed the project in Nashville with producer Bob Ezrin.

“We don’t have a title for the album,” says singer Ian Gillan in a new video. “There’s a big question mark over that, in fact there’s also an exclamation mark, so we’ll have to wait and see.”

The new Deep Purple album will be released internationally as follows:

Apr 26 – Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Finland, Spain
Apr 29 – UK, France, Benelux, Poland, Czech Republic, Norway, Denmark
Apr 30 – North America, Italy
May 01 – Sweden
