Green Day have announced additional U.S. live dates including stops in Berkeley, CA on April 16th (on-sale 2/15) and Los Angeles, CA on April 18th (on-sale 2/22).
Green Day is touring in support of it’s recently-released album trilogy, ¡Uno!, ¡Dos! and ¡Tré!. The albums are the follow-up to 2009's “21st Century Breakdown,” and were produced by the band's long-time producer Rob Cavallo.
The band also recently announced the forthcoming release of their documentary film “¡Cuatro!” which will be featured in the 20th Anniversary South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Conference and Festival, running from March 8 – 16, 2013 in Austin, Texas.
The film takes viewers inside the world of Green Day, chronicling the conceptualizing and recording of the album trilogy and features intimate live performances that took place along the way. Additionally, the Doug Hamilton-directed “Broadway Idiot” will world premiere at SXSW. The film pulls back the curtain with lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong as he ventures into the strange new world of Broadway with their massive hit musical “American Idiot.”
