Van Halen announce first US concert of 2013

Van Halen’s first US show of 2013 has been announced.

The band are among the headliners at this summer’s Rock USA at Ford Festival Park in Oshkosh, WI, reports Appleton Hub.

Van Halen will headline the festival’s closing night – Saturday, July 20 – on a bill that also includes Ratt, Jackyl and Dokken.

Also booked for the July 17-20 bash are Bret Michaels, Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack, Buckcherry, Chevelle, Queensryche, Great White, Slaughter, Sevendust, and Saliva.

Tickets are on sale at www.rockusaoshkosh.com, with a four-day pass at a reduced price of $49. Ticket prices increase March 14.

Here’s the day-by-day breakdown:

July 17: Avenged Sevenfold, Buckcherry, Saliva
July 18: Bret Michaels, Queensryche, Great White, Slaughter
July 19: Godsmack, Chevelle, Sevendust
July 20: Van Halen, Ratt, Jackyl, Dokken

The festival date marks the return of Van Halen’s “A Different Kind Of Truth” tour to North America after the band was forced to cancel a full series of summer concerts last year when guitarist Eddie Van Halen had surgery for Diverticultis.
