Pearl Jam debuted a pair of new songs from their forthcoming album, “Lightning Bolt,” during their Wrigley Field concert in Chicago Friday night.
The band performed the album’s title track as well as "Future Days" from the project, and played the lead single, “Mind Your Manners,” which they premiered Tuesday in London (watch the debut here).
Due October 15 in North America, (October 14 internationally), “Lightning Bolt” marks Pearl Jam’s first studio album since 2009’s “Backspacer.”
Produced by Brendan O’Brien, the band have been working on the record – on and off – over the past eighteen months.
The Chicago show is one of just two dates the band has on their summer schedule; a fall North American tour kicks off October 11 in Pittsburgh – full details are available here.
