It has been over 40 years since Santana band veterans Carlos Santana, Neal Schon and Gregg Rolie had shared the stage together, but that all changed at the end of Journey's concert at the Pearl Theater at the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on Wednesday night.
The Las Vegas Sun reports that Santana and Rolie took the stage at the end of Journey's encore without introduction and began jamming for five minutes.
Then Santana and Rolie joined the band in a performance of the instrumental, "Soul Sacrifice", which was immortalized on the Woodstock soundtrack and concert film.
The Sun reports "Schon, Rolie and Santana were frequently set apart, having a good mini-jam amid the roar of the band."
