The Rolling Stones will be honored at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 18th Annual Music Masters Series next month in Cleveland, and the Rock Hall has released details about the week-long event.
Running October 21-16, "It's Only Rock 'n Roll (But I Like It): The Music of the Rolling Stones" will feature a week of interviews, panels, films and other educational programs, concluding with a conference at the Rock Hall about the Rolling Stones' impact on pop music, followed by a tribute concert at PlayhouseSquare's State Theatre.
The Rock Hall has announced the following schedule for Stones week:
LIVE STREAM - Monday, October 21 at 1:00 p.m. – On the Road “You Got Me Rocking”: The Musical Roots of the Rolling Stones
Tuesday, October 22 at 7 p.m. – Author Series with Bill Janovitz at Cuyahoga Community College’s Tommy LiPuma Center for Creative Arts in the Black Box Theater (adjacent to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Library and Archives, 2809 Woodland Avenue, Cleveland)
Wednesday, October 23 at 4:30 p.m. – Teachers Rock “Following the River”: Exploring the Roots of the Rolling Stones in the Rock Hall’s “Eat to the Beat” on the 3rd floor.
Wednesday, October 23 at 8 p.m. – Songwriters to Soundmen with Steve Jordan, Bobby Keys and Steve Madaio in the Rock Hall’s Foster Theater on the 4th floor
Thursday, October 24 at 7:00 p.m. – Keynote Lecture by Alan Light at Case Western Reserve University’s Ford Auditorium, 11000 Euclid Ave.
TICKETED EVENT - Saturday, October 26 from 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. – Annual Music Masters Conference in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Foster Theater.
TICKETED EVENT - Saturday, October 26 at 7:30 p.m. – Annual Music Masters Tribute Concert at PlayhouseSquare’s State Theatre
The tribute show will feature a handful of musicians who have performed with the Stones during their 50 year career. Grammy Award-winning drummer Steve Jordan will lead the house band as musical director. Jordan has assembled a group of critically-acclaimed musicians, including Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Ian McLagan, Bernard Fowler, Bobby Keys, Trevor Lawrence, Steve Madaio, Waddy Wachtel and Willie Weeks to perform. Joining the tribute concert lineup are Merry Clayton and Sarah Dash.

In other Stones news, on November 11th (November 12 in North America) the band will release “Sweet Summer Sun – Hyde Park Live”, a new package capturing the band’s historic return to London’s Hyde Park with a 2-hour live concert and highlights including new and unseen backstage footage.
“Sweet Summer Sun – Hyde Park Live” will be available on DVD, Blu-ray, 2CD + DVD, 3LP + DVD, and a Deluxe Edition featuring a 60 page book + DVD + Blu-ray + 2CD package.
