Rolling Stones to be honored at Rock Hall’s Music Masters Series

The Rolling Stones will be honored at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 18th Annual Music Masters Series next month in Cleveland.

Dubbed "It's Only Rock 'n Roll (But I Like It): The Music of the Rolling Stones," Rolling Stone magazine reports this year's series – which runs October 21 to 26 - will feature a week of interviews, panels, films and other educational programs, concluding with a conference at the Rock Hall about the Rolling Stones' impact on pop music, followed by a tribute concert at PlayhouseSquare's State Theatre.

The tribute show will feature a handful of musicians who have performed with the Stones during their 50 year career including Ian McLagan, Lisa Fischer, Bobby Keys, Bernard Fowler, Trevor Lawrence, Steve Madaio, Ivan Neville, Waddy Wachtel and Willie Weeks. More artists, and a complete schedule of events, will be announced in the next few weeks.

Tickets to the tribute concert will go on sale to Rock Hall members on September 16th at 10 a.m. at PlayhouseSquare's website, with the public sale beginning on September 18th at 11 a.m. Prices range from $30 to $80, with a limited number of VIP packages starting at $250 available through the Rock Hall's development office.

This week, The Rolling Stones announced a November 11th (November 12 in North America) release date for “Sweet Summer Sun – Hyde Park Live”, a new package capturing the band’s historic return to London’s Hyde Park with a 2-hour live concert and highlights including new and unseen backstage footage.

“Sweet Summer Sun – Hyde Park Live” will be available on DVD, Blu-ray, 2CD + DVD, 3LP + DVD, and a Deluxe Edition featuring a 60 page book + DVD + Blu-ray + 2CD package.
