Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has recorded a song with South Korean pop star Psy.
L’uomo Vogue reports Psy, known for his worldwide hit “Gangnam Style”, moved to Los Angeles a few months ago to work on new material and shared the news as part of a feature cover story.
“So for the first time ever, I will reveal some huge piece of information, because I really appreciate being on the cover, so this is like ‘thank you,” says Psy, “and the big secret is... I just finished recording my next song with a legendary artist, Steven Tyler from Aerosmith. When I was in middle school, I literally cried when they were singing 'Crazy' or 'Amazing' or whatever, they were my lifetime role models, and now I am collaborating with Steven Tyler, what the f, man? (laughter) I love my life”.
Musically speaking, Psy says his life role model and hero is Freddie Mercury. “His songwriting skills, I cannot even approach, but his showmanship, everything I know about the stage, I learned it from his videos,” he says. “I had a huge rock band mania, Queen, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith and Guns N’ Roses.”
Tyler and Aerosmith are currently in the middle of a South American tour in support of their latest album, “Music From Another Dimension.”
