VIDEO: Former Guns N Roses drummer and new bride cover Sonny & Cher classic

Former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum and his new bride, Adriane ‘Ace’ Harper, have followed up their wedding last weekend with a video of the couple singing the 1965 Sonny & Cher classic, “I Got You Babe.”

The couple were married in Palm Springs, California on Saturday.

US Weekly reported the pair exchanged vows in front of family and friends. Their star-studded guest list included Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, Juliette Lewis, John Varvatos, Jane Lynch, John Stamos, Dave Navarro and former Guns N' Roses bandmates Slash and Duff McKagan.

Sorum teamed up with Harper, a singer and professional dancer, in Diamond Baby, a new band that released a debut single, “The Last Rockstar”, in 2011.

Sorum first hit the spotlight in 1989 as the touring drummer for The Cult. As the replacement for original drummer Steven Adler, Sorum then joined GNR in 1990, recording and touring the “Use Your Illusion” albums. By ’93, the drummer hooked up with Slash and Gilby Clarke to form Slash’s Snakepit, whose debut was released in ’95.

The original remnants of GNR fell apart when Slash left in ’96, and Sorum, along with bassist Duff McKagan, were gone within the following year.

In 2002, Sorum, McKagan and Slash formed the foundation of Velvet Revolver; the group released two albums before singer Scott Weiland left in 2008 to return to Stone Temple Pilots.

The three former GNR members have recently appeared as part of new supergroup Kings Of Chaos, which also features players from Def Leppard, Deep Purple and others.

Sorum was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame as a member of GNR in 2012.
