KISS: Gene Simmons unveils custom 1956 Ford F-100 pickup

KISS bassist Gene Simmons and Ford Motor Co. unveiled a custom 1956 Ford F-100 Tuesday at the 2013 Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas.

MLive reports the Shelby Mustang-inspired pickup truck - named Snakebit - features 20-inch rear wheels, a Ford Racing supercharged 5.4-liter V8 estimated at 550 horsepower and custom wheelbase, headlights and sequential taillights.

Snakebit will be auctioned next year by Barrett-Jackson, with proceeds going to help fund a children’s hospital in Shannon Tweed’s hometown Saskatoon.

Simmons said he wants the vehicle to auction for at least $1 million. The bassist even joked that he’d do everything for the winning bidder - from cooking dinner to signing the vehicle and spitting blood in the backseat.

“I’ll do anything you want,” Simmons said. “I want a million bucks for that.”

Simmons and KISS just wrapped up KISS Kruise II, which ran October 28 - November 1, 2013 on board The Norwegian Pearl sailing from Miami, Florida to Key West, Florida and Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas.

Up next, KISS will play a make-up date in Calgary, Alberta this Friday; the original July 13th show was cancelled due to damage from devastating flooding in the Canadian city over the summer.
