Tesla to begin recording new album

Sacramento rockers Tesla will begin a recording a new album next week.

The band posted an image of singer Jeff Keith and guitarist Frank Hannon next to a white board with a list of potential song titles for the project.

“The song list is growing!,” wrote the group. “JK and FH here next to the list of songs for the new album. Right now the band is going thru each song working on all the details of the parts including the tempos as you can the the bpm# on the board. Recording starts Monday and the first batch of 8 or 9 songs will be recorded!”

Working titles listed on the board include “MP3”, “Ricochet”, “Cross My Heart”, “Sympathy”, “Rise And Fall”, “Break Of Dawn”, “Life Let” and “Burn To Fade.”

Last summer, Tesla released a new single, “Taste My Pain.”

Recorded in June at bassist Brian Wheat's J Street Recorders studio, the band plans to include it on the forthcoming album, which they’re aiming to release this year.

Tesla’s latest album, "Twisted Wires And The Acoustic Sessions", was released in 2011. The project featured 6 songs that were recorded in 2005 and 6 newly recorded tracks, including acoustic remakes of songs from the band’s catalog, plus two brand new songs, "Second Street" and "Better Off Without You."
