Black Sabbath: Montreal press conference video

Black Sabbath held a press conference on Monday before their show at the Bell Centre in Montreal, and video of the event has surfaced.

At the end of the press conference, the band were presented with Canadian platinum sales awards for “13” (100,000 copies) and their live album and DVD/Blu-ray, "Live... Gathered In Their Masses" (10,000 copies).

The Montreal stop was the third date in Black Sabbath's current Canadian tour that began last week in Halifax, Nova Scotia; the trek wraps April 22 in Edmonton, Alberta and is followed by an April 26 show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California.

On May 12, Ozzy Osbourne will be honored with the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award at the 10th anniversary MusiCares MAP Fund benefit concert at Club Nokia in Los Angeles.

Ozzy will be recognized for his dedication and support of the MusiCares MAP Fund, and for his commitment to helping other addicts with the addiction recovery process.

The rocker joins the list of previous honorees including Anthony Kiedis, James Hetfield, Chris Cornell, Alice Cooper and Jerry Cantrell.

Ozzy and his touring band will perform at the event with special guest Slash.

All proceeds from the May 12th event will benefit the MusiCares MAP Fund, which provides members of the music community access to addiction recovery treatment regardless of their financial situation.
