Guns N’ Roses new album update

Guns N’ Roses guitarist Richard Fortus shared an update on the band’s plans regarding a new album on Wednesday at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards in Los Angeles.

"We are working on stuff and hopefully very soon we're going to have new stuff out," Fortus said on the event’s pre-show black carpet. Asked further about the timing of a follow-up to 2008's "Chinese Democracy", he said, "Well, in the next year."

"We're going to be in [Las] Vegas all together [for next month's second residency at the Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel and Casino],” he added, “so hopefully during that time we're going to be able to get in a room and start laying down some more stuff."

Guns N’ Roses headlined The Revolver Golden Gods Awards Show at Club Nokia; the band were joined by GNR founding bassist Duff McKagan for their set (which you can watch here).

Axl Rose was honored with this year’s Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award at the event.

The 2014 Revolver Golden Gods Awards Show will air on VH1 Classic on Saturday, May 24th.
