Pearl Jam: Eddie Vedder debuts new song in Brazil

Eddie Vedder debuted a new song in Sao Paulo, Brazil on May 6 during the first of five solo shows in the country.

Stereogum reports the show at Citibank Hall saw the Pearl Jam singer debut a new track, without an official title, but which fans are calling “I Won’t Hold On.”

"I'll play this song, then I'll go learn it," said Vedder before performing the tune, which also appeared in the setlist for his second show at the venue on May 7.

The 32-song opening night show featured a variety of solo and Pearl Jam tunes as well as covers of songs by Neil Young, The Ramones, Cat Power and Karen O.

Vedder wraps up his Brazilian tour in Rio de Janeiro tonight.

Pearl Jam will kick off a European tour in support of their latest album, “Lightning Bolt”, in Amsterdam on June 16.
