Metallica share behind the scenes video from MusiCares benefit

Metallica are sharing behind the scenes video of the band’s May 12th appearance at the MusiCares MAP Fund Benefit honoring Ozzy Osbourne.

Footage includes the band rehearsing on stage and in the dressing room, plus clips of each of the four songs that made up their acoustic set ("I Just Want To Celebrate," "When A Blind Man Cries," "In My Life" and "Diary Of A Madman").

Metallica have just released the audio of their four-song acoustic set from the evening to help further raise funds for the charity.

All net proceeds from the sale of downloads of this show will be donated to the MusiCares MAP Fund, which provides members of the music community access to addiction recovery treatment regardless of their financial situation.

The 10th anniversary event saw Osbourne presented with the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award in recognition for his dedication and support of the MusiCares MAP Fund, and for his commitment to helping other addicts with the addiction recovery process.

The rocker joins the list of previous honorees including Anthony Kiedis, James Hetfield, Chris Cornell, Alice Cooper and Jerry Cantrell.

Ozzy and his touring band also performed at the event, joined by special guest Slash.

Metallica are currently preparing to launch their “By Request” concert series in Europe, with shows starting May 28 at Sonisphere Finland in Helsinki, Finland.
