KISS 40 collection debuts in US Top 30

“KISS 40”, the new greatest hits package from KISS, has debuted at No. 30 on the US Billboard 200.

Billboard reports the 40-track collection sold 7,000 copies in its first week, according to Neilsen Soundscan.

The set presents one song from every major album release by the band, live selections and “Reputation”, an unreleased demo from 1977.

The new Billboard entry is KISS’ 35th on the Billboard 200, moving the band into third place for the third-most charted albums among American bands, behind only the Beach Boys at 48 and the Grateful Dead at 60.

On June 23, KISS and Def Leppard will launch a co-headlining summer tour of North America in West Valley City, Utah.
