AC/DC drummer releases debut solo single Repo Man

AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has released a lyric video for “Repo Man”, the lead single from his forthcoming debut solo album “Head Job.”

Due August 29, the project sees Rudd teaming up with Allan Badger and Geoffrey Martin — musicians Phil met on the local scene, which he says "turned out to be a great musical partnership."

"Badge" and Martin also perform vocals, guitars and bass on the album, with Rudd sitting in the producer's seat.

"I hope everyone thinks this is a great album from start to finish because that's the idea," Rudd told Triple M radio in Sydney. "We didn't put anything on there that we didn't like. There's no filler. There's plenty of Phil, but no filler."

Rudd and AC/DC recently completed recording a new album in Vancouver without founding member Malcolm Young, who remains in hospital to address some health issues.

“I’m very happy to have it all done. It’s all very good, by the way,” explains the drummer. “There’s no comparisons between the two but they’re both very good.”
