VIDEO: KISS introduced by Def Leppard singer in New Jersey

Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott performed the classic KISS concert introduction to bring the band on stage in Holmdel, New Jersey on Saturday, and video from the event is available.

"You wanted the best, you got the best. The hottest band in the world... KISS!!!" said Elliott backstage before throwing both arms in the air to celebrate the occasion.

The pair of classic rockers are on the road this summer on a North American tour, which runs to August 31 in Houston, Texas.

KISS’ latest greatest hits package, “KISS 40”, recently debuted at No. 30 on the US Billboard 200.

The 40-track collection presents one song from every major album release by the group, live selections and “Reputation”, an unreleased demo from 1977.

The new Billboard entry is KISS’ 35th on the Billboard 200, moving the band into third place for the third-most charted albums among American bands, behind only the Beach Boys at 48 and the Grateful Dead at 60.
