Foo Fighters announce residency on Late Show with David Letterman

The Foo Fighters have announced a week-long residency on The Late Show with David Letterman as they gear up to launch their 8th album, “Sonic Highways.”

The band will be joined by special guests when they perform on the CBS late-night program the week of Monday, October 13.

The appearance will coincide with the October 17 premiere of the 8-part HBO series, “Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways.” The series chronicles the making of the band's album of the same name, set to be released November 10.

The group recorded the project in eight American cities – Austin, Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Seattle and Washington, D.C.

Both the series and the album feature local music legends from each city, some of whom will be joining the band during their week-long Late Show visit.
