VIDEO: Judas Priest launch 40th anniversary tour

Judas Priest launched their 40th anniversary tour on Wednesday in Rochester, New York and fan-filmed video from opening night has surfaced.

The band ripped through a 16-song set that featured a mix of classic, rarely-played tunes and new music from their latest album, “Redeemer Of Souls.”

The project marks guitarist Richie Faulkner's studio debut with Priest; he replaced founding member K.K. Downing following his retirement in 2011.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the band's debut album, “Rocka Rolla”, which was released five years after the group formed in Birmingham, England.

Judas Priest’s 6-week North American tour - with openers Steel Panther - wraps November 22 in Tacoma, Washington.
