Judas Priest is streaming pro-shot video of its June 21 performance at the 2025 edition of Hellfest in Clisson, France.
The band delivered a 15-song, 75-minute set on the third day of the four day event as part of a weekend lineup that featured headliners Korn, Muse, Scorpions and Linkin Park.
Judas Priest will wrap up the European leg of its Shield Of Pain Tour in London, UK on July 25; the series will resume in North America when the UK metal outfit teams up with Alice Cooper for shows starting in mid-September.
The band’s latest album, “Invincible Shield”, was produced by touring guitarist Andy Sneap; the set debuted at No. 18 on the US Billboard 200 while also scoring the highest charting album in its career in its native UK when it debuted at No. 2 on the country’s Official Albums Chart to best their previous peak of a No. 4 spot with 1980’s “British Steel.”

Former Judas Priest guitarist K.K. Downing rocked the band’s 1980 classic, “Breaking The Law”, during a July 5 appearance at the Black Sabbath farewell show in Birmingham.
Downing – who retired from the group in 2011 – was joined by Billy Corgan on vocals, bassist Rudy Sarzo, Tom Morello, and Tool’s Adam Jones and Danny Carey for the track from Priest’s “British Steel” before the lineup delivered the Sabbath song “Snowblind.”
Judas Priest and Black Sabbath were both formed in Birmingham in the late 1960s.
Downing went on to form KK’s Priest in 2019; the band has released two studio albums: 2021’s “Sermons of the Sinner” and 2023’s “The Sinner Rides Again.”
Judas Priest has released video of a new cover of “War Pigs”, ahead of the farewell performances by Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne in Birmingham, UK on July 5.
Billed as “Back To The Beginning”, the event will see Osbourne play his own short set before being joined by his Sabbath bandmates when they take the stage at the city’s Villa Park, where they will be seen alongside a number of guest artists paying tribute to the iconic rockers.
While Judas Priest is unable to be a part of the live event – they are scheduled to open for Scorpions as part of the German group’s 60th anniversary show in their own hometown of Hanover, Germany on the same day – the group recorded a tribute to their Sabbath mates.
Judas Priest issued a statement, saying “We are honored to show our love for Ozzy and Black Sabbath with our homage of ‘War Pigs’ – a song we play at every show around the world that fans sing along to – reinforcing their love as well for the legendary Prince Of Darkness….!!”
Both Sabbath and Priest have a long shared history from their late 1960s start in their Birmingham hometown to being recognized as pioneers of heavy metal, and achieving global success.
Proceeds from the “Back To The Beginning” concert event will go to the Cure Parkinson’s, Acorns Children’s Hospice and Birmingham Children’s Hospital charities.
Former Judas Priest drummer Les Binks died on March 15 at the age of 73.
Binks appeared on a pair of studio albums – 1978’s “Stained Class” and “Killing Machine” (released in the US as “Hell Bent for Leather”) – and the legendary live release, 1979’s “Unleashed in the East.”
Although Binks reportedly passed away a month ago, Judas Priestconfirmed the news on April 15, saying “We are deeply saddened about the passing of Les and send our love to his family, friends and fans. The acclaimed drumming he provided was first class - demonstrating his unique techniques, flair, style and precision - Thank you Les - your acclaim will live on.....”
Binks was among the members of Judas Priest to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2022.
