UPDATE (11/10): Jimmy Page was recently listed as a guest on Ellen by a third-party website that tracks talk show appearances. The program has posted its lineup for this week and the Led Zeppelin guitarist is NOT scheduled to appear as previously reported.
Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page will be a featured guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday, November 11.
Page will be on the daytime talk show to promote the band’s latest reissues, “Led Zeppelin IV” and “Houses Of The Holy.”
Released in November 1971, the band’s fourth album — which is officially untitled but is generally referred to as “Led Zeppelin IV” — features anthems such as "Stairway To Heaven", "Rock And Roll", "Black Dog" and "When The Levee Breaks". The album was inducted into the Grammy Hall Of Fame in 1999 and has been certified 23x platinum by the RIAA.
Released in March of 1973, "Houses Of The Holy" features "The Song Remains The Same" and "No Quarter" while showcasing the continuing evolution of the band's signature sound with the reggae-tinged "D'yer Mak'er" and the funk jam "The Crunge". The album has been certified diamond by the RIAA for sales of over 11 million copies.
Led Zeppelin kicked off their reissue series in June with the release of expanded editions of the band’s first three albums – “Led Zeppelin I”, “Led Zeppelin II” and “Led Zeppelin III” – each with a companion disc of bonus material.
The guitarist will also discuss the re-release of his photographic autobiography, “Jimmy Page By Jimmy Page.”
The book sold-out of its limited-edition run of 2,500 copies upon its initial release in 2010, becoming the fastest-selling book in Genesis Publications' 40-year history.
