Anthrax announce For All Kings album

Anthrax will release their new album, “For All Kings”, on February 26.

The group issued a video announcement on Monday revealing the record’s title and the release date for the follow-up to 2011's Grammy-nominated album, “Worship Music.”

The project is being previewed with a lyric video for the lead track, “Evil Twin.”

“Yeah, that opening riff is really evil," says drummer Charlie Benante. "We had done a lot of touring with Death Angel and Exodus, so I was in a really thrashy state of mind when I starting writing the riffs for that song. I think along with Scott's lyrics and Frank's melodies, we came up with a really great, old school thrash metal feel."

Anthrax have been in the studio this year working on the record, which marks the debut of former Shadows Fall lead guitarist Jon Donais, who replaced Rob Caggiano following his departure in 2013.

On November 20, Anthrax will release an expanded 30th anniversary edition of 1985’s “Spreading The Disease.”

Produced by the band and Carl Canedy, the project marked the first Anthrax album to feature singer Joey Belladonna and bassist Frank Bello and included classics like “Madhouse”, “Armed & Dangerous” and “The Enemy.”
