David Bowie has issued a trailer for the short film/video release of the title track to his forthcoming album, “Blackstar.”
Bowie was commissioned to write the song as the theme for a newly-launched crime series, The Last Panthers, airing on Sky Atlantic in Europe.
The video and TV series – directed by Johan Renck – will premiere on Sky Atlantic on November 19, the day before the song is officially released.
The broadcast will mark the first time that the full 10-minute track will be heard in the UK and Europe.
The 6-episode program, which debuted on November 12, stars Samantha Morton, Tahar Rahim and John Hurt
Bowie will release the “Blackstar” album on January 8, his 69th birthday.
