Motorhead cancel third show as guitarist recovers from hospitalization

Motorhead have cancelled a third concert date in the past few days as guitarist Phil Campbell recovers from unknown health issues that required hospitalization.

The November 30 stop at the ACC in Aarhus, Denmark is the latest show affected by Campbell’s situation following the cancellation of Friday’s sold-out concert in Berlin, Germany and a Saturday appearance in Hamburg.

“We just wanted to say a hearty Thank You to all our loyal Motorheadbanging fans for their support, understanding and community right now,” says the band. “It has obviously not been an easy time and with Phil recovering well, we are all doing everything we can to keep roaring right now. Your understanding and support is golden and very much appreciated. Again, Thank You.”

According to a report by Billboard, Motorhead plans to continue its 40th anniversary European tour on Tuesday at Gothenburg, Sweden’s Scandinavium.

The veteran band are on the road in support of their latest album “Bad Magic.”
