REPORT: Reunited Guns N’ Roses recording new material

A new report suggests the reunited lineup of Gun N’ Roses are in the studio working on new material.

"I know they’re doing some recording,” former GNR publicist Arlett Vereecke tells Classic Rock. “They’re definitely doing something there in the studio. Axl hasn’t been there, but Slash is definitely in there and it’s not for anyone else."

The rock news outlet also reports that Duff McKagan and Izzy Stradlin have been working together.

“Duff and Izzy were in the studio before Christmas doing stuff,” says former GNR manager Alan Niven. “At a casual glance I think they’ve got at least a couple of tracks down."

Niven’s comments mark the first possible confirmation of the involvement of guitarist Izzy Stradlin in the GNR reunion scenario, which to date has only revealed the participation of Axl, Slash and Duff.

The trio – and unconfirmed others – will launch a reunion run in April with two shows in Las Vegas, two in Mexico City and a pair of appearances at Coachella.

The 2016 shows will mark the first time the trio have performed together since a July 17, 1993 date at River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
