VIDEO: Sammy Hagar previews Seattle edition of AXS TV series Rock & Roll Road Trip

Sammy Hagar is sharing a preview of the Seattle edition of his AXS TV series “Rock & Roll Road Trip.”

Set to air this Sunday, the Red Rocker sits down with Heart’s Nancy Wilson and Alice In Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell to jam and talk some music history.

“As soon as Nirvana and Alice In Chains emerged,” says Wilson of the early 90s arrival of the grunge scene, “the whole ‘80s’ thing was completely kaput.”

“There’s different waves,” adds Cantrell, “One wave crashes when another one starts to swell up and so we were a part of that.”

The upcoming fifth episode in the “Rock & Roll Road Trip” series follows visits with some of rock's biggest names, including Chickenfoot's Michael Anthony, Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, Bob Weir and Mickey Hart of the Grateful Dead, Alice Cooper, and members of supergroup The Circle.

As part of the 2015 hennemusic Rock News Awards, Hagar was named the No. 3 Rock News Artist Of The Year while also being a part of the No. 4 and No. 10 Rock News Stories Of The Year.
