Van Halen and KISS top the 2015 hennemusic Rock News Awards

Van Halen and KISS took home top honors in the 2015 hennemusic Rock News Awards, the daily music news site announced Thursday.

The 6th annual event saw Van Halen pick up their 5th straight Rock News Artist Of The Year award, while KISS delivered the Rock News Story Of The Year.

In the tradition of the weekly hennemusic Hot 10, the hennemusic Rock News Awards are determined by music fans: winners are based on the combined total page views of the top 50 hennemusic rock news stories of the past twelve months.

The Top 10 in both categories were counted down over the past two weeks.

“Between a new live album and summer tour, hennemusic readers followed Van Halen with intense interest all year long,” says Bruce Henne, “landing the group 7 of the top 10 rock news stories of 2015, while the ongoing debate over the reuse of original makeup by non-original members delivered KISS their first hennemusic Rock News Award.”

A daily rock news service dedicated to providing music fans with an accurate, timely and reliable source for music news, hennemusic serves as a trusted source for rock fans who need updated information on their favorite artists and events.

hennemusic will celebrate its 6th anniversary on February 1.
