Megadeth release 360 video for Poisonous Shadows

Megadeth have released a 360° video for “Poisonous Shadows”, a track from their latest album “Dystopia.”

Directed by Blair Underwood, it’s one of five songs included in the virtual reality experience package of the record, which sees the band perform within a virtual fallen city modelled after images in the video for the track "The Threat Is Real.”

The footage provides fans with the opportunity to virtually enter, engage and explore this parallel world with the help of “Dystopia”, a CEEK Virtual Reality cardbox headset and a download code to access and unlock the exclusive content.

Folliwng its release in January, “Dystopia” debuted at No. 3 on the US Billboard 200 with opening week sales of 49,000 equivalent album units.

The feat marks the group’s highest-charting US album since 1992’s “Countdown To Extinction”, which debuted and peaked at No. 2.

Megadeth wrapped up a winter run of North American shows last month and will next perform in San Juan, Puerto Rico on April 28 before returning to the States for a month of dates starting April 30 in Fort Myers, FL.

An extensive summer European tour starts June 2 in Milan, Italy.
