The Who extend farewell tour with new European dates

The Who have extended their latest farewell tour with the addition of fall dates in Europe.

The “Back To The Who Tour” will see Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend play five shows in their native UK and five more in Europe starting August 29 in Glasgow.

The dates will be The Who’s first series of shows in the UK since their appearances in London’s Hyde Park and at the Glastonbury Festival in 2015.

A ticket pre-sale starts May 3 at 9am BST, with general public seats available for the German shows on May 5 and the remaining dates on May 6 at 9am BST.

After The Who’s current spring tour of North America wraps up at the end of the month, the duo will headline the UK’s Isle Of Wight Festival on June 11 and a few others in Europe next month before the duo begin the fall run.

The Who will return to the US to play on the final night of the just-announced classic rock festival Desert Trip.

Running October 7-9 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, the Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan will perform on opening night, Paul McCartney and Neil Young on Saturday and Roger Waters and The Who will close out Sunday evening.

The three-day event is produced by Coachella organizers on the same grounds as the annual springtime festival.
