Axl Rose sued by former Guns N’ Roses keyboardist

Former Guns N’ Roses keyboardist Chris Pittman is reportedly suing Axl Rose over unpaid wages dating back several years.

According to TMZ, Rose signed a promissory note to Pitman in 2011 stating that he would pay the multi-instrumentalist $125,000 for a year’s worth of work by October of 2012...and that bill remains outstanding to this day.

Pitman’s suit seeks the original amount – plus interest – for a new total of $163,000.

The musician joined Guns N’ Roses in 1998 and appeared on 2008’s “Chinese Democracy”; he and was on board until earlier this year when Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan announced a mini-reunion lineup that would set out on the “Not In This Lifetime” world tour.

Following a series of spring shows, GNR went on to play 25 concerts in 21 stadiums across North America this past summer that saw the group sell more than 1 million tickets and gross $116.8 million in box office revenue over the 9-week run.

Pitman was replaced by new addition Melissa Reese in the reunion lineup that also includes guitarist Richard Fortus and keyboardist Dizzy Reed.

Pitman currently fronts the alternative rock band SexTapes.
