Rock News Story Of The Year No. 10: THE EAGLES



Welcome to the 2016 hennemusic Rock News Awards.

Over the next ten days, we’ll be counting down the Top 10 Rock News stories of the past year.

Finalists for the 7th annual hennemusic Rock News Awards are chosen by readers: winners are determined by the combined total page views of the top 50 hennemusic rock news stories of the past twelve months.

The 2016 hennemusic Rock News Awards winners will be announced on Thursday, December 22.


Rock News Story Of The Year No. 10: THE EAGLES


In March, Don Henley revealed that The Eagles' emotional tribute to Glenn Frey at the 58th annual Grammy Awards the month prior marked the band’s farewell performance.

The group were joined by Jackson Browne at the event to perform their first hit, 1972’s “Take It Easy.”

The performance was a billed as one-time only special tribute to Frey, who passed away January 18 at the age of 67 from a combination of rheumatoid arthritis, colitis and pneumonia.
