Yes announce Yestival summer US tour

Ahead of their induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, Yes have announced dates for a summer US tour.

Dubbed Yestival, the event will see Yes celebrate their history by perform one track from each studio album – from their self-titled 1969 debut to 1980’s “Drama” – in chronological order.

"We are looking forward to presenting songs from each of the first nine studio albums,” says guitarist Steve Howe, “including some surprises."

Yestival will feature special guest Todd Rundgren and an opening set from Carl Palmer's ELP Legacy that will honor the work of his late former bandmates Keith Emerson and Greg Lake.

The month-long run will open in Greensboro, NC on August 4, with more dates to be announced.

Presales begin April 13 and general public tickets will be available on April 14.

On April 7 in New York, Yes members Jon Anderson, Bill Bruford, Steve Howe, Trevor Rabin, Rick Wakeman, Alan White, Tony Kaye and the late Chris Squire – essentially, the lineup behind the group’s thirteenth album, 1991’s “Union” – will be inducted into the Rock hall as part of the Class of 2017 alongside Pearl Jam, Journey, Electric Light Orchestra, Joan Baez and Tupac Shakur.
