The Who stream new single I Don’t Wanna Get Wise

The Who are streaming the track, “I Don’t Wanna Get Wise”, as the latest preview to their forthcoming album, “Who.”

“I’ve been asked what I think Keith Moon and John Entwistle would have thought of this song,” says guitarist Pete Townshend. “I imagine they would have needed to be alive to hear it so presumably they would – like me – have gotten old enough to suffer from being wise in old age.

“I think we three would have gathered around the fireside with our various eccentric outfits (Keith by this time dressing as the Pope) and wondered what Roger thought about it."

“I Don’t Wanna Get Wise” follows the set’s lead single, “Ball And Chain”, and “All This Music Must Fade” as the third preview to The Who’s first new album in thirteen years, ahead of its release on December 6.

The Who were honored this week as the first inductees into the new Music Walk Of Fame in London, UK; the attraction plans to recognize 20 artists per year moving forward.
