Metallica stream 1983 Chicago concert

Metallica are streaming video of a concert from 1983 in the latest installment of their weekly streaming series Metallica Mondays.

The band were filmed at The Metro in Chicago, IL on August 12, 1983 during their first major road trip, which was in support of their debut album, “Kill ‘Em All.”

“That’s right, 1983!,” says the band. “James had just turned 20 and Lars was still a teenager. Tune in to see the fresh-faced four horsemen.”

Metallica launched the series in March with a 2019 show at the iconic Slane Castle in Meath, Ireland; since then, they have streamed concert footage from a 2017 Paris concert, a 2009 event in Copenhagen, a 2017 performance in San Francisco, a 2015 gig in Munich, Germany, a 1991 concert from the Black Album tour, a 2016 London club show, and a Black Album 20th anniversary concert.
