Ozzy Osbourne classics reach new US sales milestones

A pair of classic Ozzy Osbourne songs have reached new US sales milestones this month in sync with the 40th anniversary of their original release.

The RIAA (Recording Industry Association Of America) has awarded “Crazy Train” quadruple platinum status for digital sales of 4 million units, while “Mr. Crowley” has been certified with Gold status for a half a million units.

Both tracks were issued as singles from the rocker’s 1980 album debut, “Blizzard Of Ozz”, which peaked at No. 21 on the Billboard 200 and sold 5 million copies in the country.

The project saw Osbourne joined by a lineup that featured former Quiet Riot guitarist Randy Rhoads, bassist-lyricist Bob Daisley, keyboardist Don Airey and drummer Lee Kerslake.
